Why is a song about online dating (aka the Unofficial Tinder Song). Why playfully suggests that modern online dating is addictive and feeds on the hope that you will one day find true love...or a have good time. It is fraught with strangers lying and misleading each other in order to present their best selves according to societies standards. Ultimately the song poses the question why are we lying to each other, why can't we just be honest about who we are.
